Running like the wind!
Uncategorized September 3rd, 2013We closed up our cabin over the weekend. It was kind of bittersweet, partially as that means colder weather is coming, partially because it means the kids go back to school, but what struck me most is that we don’t know if Nevada will be able to come back next year. With how she looks now, she could stop the world, but we know it’s not going to last forever. We made sure she got in her favorite activities as you can see in the pictures. There’s a picture of me and her in our boat for the last ride of the year. She LOVES all the smells during boat rides. She’ll stand there with her nose up in the air getting every last sniff she can get. We also went for a couple walks with my daughter. It’s another favorite as we’re on a dead-end dirt road, so we don’t have her on a leash and she can run to her heart’s content! We found the first day’s walk was a bit too long, she was wiped out. So the next couple were shortened, but she still ran like the wind! Most of my pictures were too blurry from her speed! Or maybe it’s my camera skills. 🙂
I know I’ve said it before, but I really appreciate this website! All the information and being able to read everyone’s experiences is wonderful. I smile and cheer for those of you with exciting updates and my heart aches for those of you having problems or are near/at the end. We’re so lucky to be able to have these wonderful pets in our lives. We wish it could last forever!

Love it! Where is your cabin? Fall seems to be arriving early there.

It’s in Minong, WI. It wasn’t the warmest Monday to have to take the boat/dock in, but the water was ridiculously warm, so we couldn’t complain! We just all had sweatshirts on with our suits while my son actually swam!

awesome pictures!!!! thanks for sharing.. we love pictures!!
It is kind of sad when we have a final chapter.. as you said.. you are not sure about next year.. but… she had a great time there NOW! And you have many days left of snuggling when the nights get colder and enjoying those brisk autumn scents in the air…. yes! My favourite time of year!! Colours changing, harvest smells, pumpkins and squaches.. yummmm!!
Enjoy!! and keep on sharing!!

I love to see tripawds and all dogs running and having the time of their life. How special. And what a sweet picture of her with you.

So special, every moment we have means so much. We just took Bella on her first road trip since her amputation this weekend. Our babies have such a good time, never sad for one moment that there may not be a next year or a next time. That’s something we have to keep striving to learn from them. They do it so well. Thanks for the pictures I love seeing her run and play with that cute face. Nevada is having a hoppy great time!
